Field Notes

Description:

Small, metallic green, yellow, and blue Dolichopodid fly with large gold to green eyes. Legs are long with light brown to black coloring.

If anyone knows the exact species, an ID would be much appreciated!

Habitat:

At the edge of shaded, moist mixed hardwood forested area in a flood zone. Surrounded by blackberry brambles and honeysuckle vines.
