Description:

•They eat nectar, fruits and arthropods.
•Their name come from the fact that they like to eat bananas.
•They can pierce the flowers from the side, taking the nectar without pollinating the plant.

Habitat:

Open and semi-open habitats, gardens, parks, urban areas
-I saw these birds in Angra dos Reis (RJ, Brazil)
