Description:

Also known as Nasturtium. Climbing vine. Non-native to California. Native to South America. These grow all over the residential beach areas in Malaga Cove and Palos Verdes, California. The flowers range in color from dark orange to yellow.

The leaves of the garden variety are said to be edible, and the seeds are known to have been substitutes for capers.

Notes:

The leaves are prime real estate for little green inchworms.
