It was a pretty neat find outdoors and it's good that you noticed it and brought it in to grow. By the way Austin, what grade are you in? I was born in Virginia and lived there until I was about 8 years old.
This looks like what is called Heavenly Bamboo, which is actually a Draceana. If you found it growing outside in Virginia someone must have thrown it out there. Welcome to Project Noah, Austin....keep taking pictures of what you see around you.
