Description:

The fruiting body is flat bowl- to key-shaped. He is without a stalk and is pointlike attached. Its diameter is 1 to 2.5 millimeters. He is usually pale gray in color, at drying it gets a little brighter. The exterior is finely "clay-like" ,same color to light tan. The spore diameter 6.5 to 9 (rarely to 13) × 2 to 3 micrometers. They are hyaline, elliptic-oblong, slightly curved and smooth. The asci measure 40-65 × 4 to 5.5 microns and are cylindrical. The paraphyses have a diameter of 2.5 to 4 microns, and are cylindrical. They point to deep-seated septa.
