Field Notes

Description:

A frog that can get up to 8cm. It's back is a greenish-brown, covered with green spots. The sides are darkbrown, sometimes black. The bottom of the hindlegs is orange with bright yellow dots on the side of the legs.

Habitat:

It is found in Costa Rica, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, rivers, intermittent rivers, plantations , rural gardens, urban areas, and heavily degraded former forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
