It's always interesting to see which mushroom species are particular to a geographical region and which mushroom species can be found across most of the northern hemisphere. The Amanita muscaria is one of those very widespread species. The bright red cap is sure a beauty. http://greennature.com/article92.html
this is a fly agaric - mildly poisonous but very pretty!
