Field Notes

Description:

This is a rather large butterfly measuring about 3" wide. It was at rest under a wooden deck at my home. It may be nocturnal.

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest NW Costa Rica 9 weeks into the 6 month dry season.

I'll agree with Letis sp....overwhelming genus!!! I hope one day someone can I.D. to species
Noctuidae. Letis sp., same problem like your other one. Too many around. I hate these Letis. Everytime I google Letis, I have to scroll down 3 pages of salad pictures ;-)... Claro: ¡Pura Birra!
