Habitat:

In partial shade near creek at Lake Dixon

Thank you beallburton! There is and it's Western False Rue Anemone. I'll update the ID now :)
I'm sorry that I don't know anything about California wildflowers, but in the Eastern US, it looks a bit like Rue (or False Rue) Anemone. Perhaps there's a California relative?
