Species ID Suggestions

Eastern Newt

Notophthalmus viridescens

Its not an anole, its definitely a salamander of some sort, difficult to ID without more close ups, but my guess is eastern newt, but could also be a salamander from the genus plethodon or desmognathus
I'm thinking a Salamander.... A friend found it on top of their pool in the standing water under some leaves. Anyone think it might be something else? Looking at photos of lizards native to Alabama, brown anole and salamander are the only ones that fit.
