Field Notes

Description:

Dark brown and red polypore about 30 cm across. Fifth image is of underside after I removed it from the tree (quite difficult to do). The last photo is the point on the fungi where it was attached to the tree.

Habitat:

Base of California Pepper Tree at Lake Dixon park.
