Large Pig Frog Tadpole, captured in the Everglades (WCA-3) using dip nets, while sampling apple snails.

That is about the largest I've ever seen them get, he may go a few months before losing the tail though. Its also possible for some to metamorphose before reaching that size, it all just depends on genetics and environmental factors.
Very interesting - I've never seen such an enormous tadpole before! How much bigger will he get before losing his tail?
