Description:
The Dainty Tree Frog is pale leaf green to pea green on back and yellow underneath. Eye has bright orange iris. Lips are yellow. Hind surface of thighs is bright purple or purple brown. Large toe pads. Size 4.5cm, Food insects and crustaceans. Breeding, Eggs laid singly or in small clumps attached to stems of vegetation in ponds. Range, Coastal eastern Australia from Cape York to about Sydney.
Habitat:
Bushland with ponds, swamps and temporarily flooded situations. Common in gardens where it is often seen on foliage with legs tucked up to body and eyes closed
Notes:
These little guys were mating in a near a puddle of water after a big rain.
