Turquoise skipper?

I agree with Bayucca about this one. And there are many differences between my spot and yours, like the longer tail and the absence of clear marks in your skipper's wing.

Personally I do not know a "Turquoise" Skipper. And it is not a Longtailed Skipper. The tail is too short. Must be an Astraptes and I think closer ID is not possible. There are quite a few with similar markings: No spots at the apical area of the forewing, some extended "tail" but not really a tail like in Egregius, a distinct yellowish (not whiteish!) margin on the hindwing (not in your shot there is no interruption in this margin, so there is no tail). Taking this criteria you can kick out several species (like id the most common one Fulgerator), and you have some more to check: Alector hopfferi (Gilbert's), Creteus crana (yellow margin??), Chiriquensis, Weymeri (no idea if this one is in CR). I think it is not serious, but I would take Chiriquensis, or give me an open wing shot and I tell you which one it is ;-)...
