Field Notes

Description:

This tree was growing on the side of the hill in our area. The needles were starting to fall off. Also, there was some small pine cones on the tree. It was out in the open more than the other trees in our area. Native to KY.

Habitat:

well-drained soils fields, slopes, and uplands, along with other pines and oaks
