Field Notes

Description:

A large dark olive green frog with darker bloches across the dorsal parts and white with gray splotches on the venter. The upper lip is solid green with no markings.

Habitat:

This individuals (and her large family evidently) was in a flooded area of a back yard when seen, but inhabits the grassy shores of a large pond in west central Iowa.

Notes:

From what I can read this individual is a female. The next will show the male.
