Field Notes

Description:

I found four owlflies attracted to the light in the evening. Two of them are eaten by common house gecko; collected the remaining two as my camera was not with me. This is the first time I am photographing captured specimens.

Pic 1 and 2 are different views of specimen 1. Pic 3 is of other specimen, bigger than specimen 1. I think they are male and female.

Captured on 29 September 2014 at Parappa (12°24'5"N 75°12'9"E), Kasaragod, Kerala, India.
