Description:
This young palm is commonly known as Carnaúba Palm and can grow much more after many years and the trunk can become extremely thick.
It has bunches of small fruits with a hard skin.
Habitat:
This tree is typical from the semi-arid areas in the northeast of Brazil. But it is also common in the "Coconut Forest" or "Transition Forest"(Mata dos Cocais), a small zone of vegetation that is the borderline between semi-arid region(caatinga vegetation) and the Amazon Forest.
It can be planted as urban decoration, grow naturally in areas where the native vegetation was devastated, or in Palm forest areas (transition forests)
Notes:
This one in the picture seems to have been planted in a yard of a house.
