Description:

The Sleepy Sponge Crab is the largest species of sponge crabs so called as they camouflage themselves by carrying a sponge on their back held in place with their last two pairs of legs. D. dormia can easily be identified by the bone-white claws.

Habitat:

Shallow waters, Indo-Paicific

Notes:

Spotted at Apo Front, Apo Reef Natural Park during a night dive. Depth of about 9m.
