Description:

Large, uniformly pale first fall plumage gull with strongly bicolored pink and black-tipped bill. Resting with large flock of mixed species gulls on a beach in Pacifica, CA.

Habitat:

Long stretch of sandy beach in Pacifica, CA

Notes:

Glaucous Gulls are rare, but regular visitors to Northern California. This bird stayed on the edge of the flock of gulls, mainly consisting of Herring, Glaucous-winged, and Mew Gulls.
