Description:

This bumble bee was one one of few insects still active on a cool autumn day. The flower is a Devil's-bit Scabious (Succisa pratensis). These flowers were among the last ones still in bloom in the area of spotting and played host to several species of bumble bees.

Habitat:

Damp meadow on forest edge, alt. 1400m ASL.
