Mantis religiosa inornata might actually be an exception with them lacking the black spot in between their coxa: http://www.orion-berlin.de/bibl/ehrmann/Ehrmann,%20R.%20&%20Borer,%20M.%20(2015)%20-%20(E-159)-Mantodea%20(Insecta)%20of%20Nepal%20an%20annotated%20checklist.PDF But this is definitely not a Mantis religiosa. Looks more like a Hierodula.
Mantis religiosa inornata is a subspecies I am unfamiliar with but I do know that Mantis religiosa has a distinct spot on the inside of the front legs (raptorial) near where it meets the body that is either black or white with a black ring. They also do not have a white spot on the wings. Like these: http://k38.kn3.net/taringa/3/3/5/1/1/6/1/attoga/139.jpg?7249 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/3/3a/Mantis_religiosa_Fore_Coxa_Marking.JPG
My friend, can you tell me the difference between Hierodula patellifera and Mantis religiosa inornata please?
