Field Notes

Description:

A creamy white weevil about 15 mm long with a short broad snout. The elytra (fore wings) were ridged and pitted with a pair of protuberances on either wing.
The antennae appeared to have a black marking on the last segment.

Habitat:

Found on soft wooded shrubs.

Notes:

Spotted this weevil on a callistemon bush. I was impressed at the design of the articulating joints - it looked like a "storm trooper"..
