Description:

I saw this colorful caterpillar at a Butterfly Zoo in Newport, RI with my family. This butterfly is from out of states and I would love to know what it was.

Habitat:

Butterfly Zoo

Notes:

It was perched on this green vine, almost as if it was trying to camouflage with it. I think this is a protective mechanism. It's patterns are also quite similar to the branch.
