I have no idea as to the species of fungi, but they sure were pretty.

Thanks all, but I am pretty sure that it isn't Pycnoporus sanguineus, I have looked at a lot of images on the net and the texture just isn't the same. I suppose I am just going to settle for "Pretty Red Fungus" and have done with it. :-)

Seems to be Tropical Cinnabar Bracket - Pycnoporus sanguineus
if it had relativ big Red pores, it could also be a cinnabar polypore ("pycnoporus" species?) good luck
Ganoderma tsugae? ...not too sure :-(
could it be a ganoderma ,do you have in africa red reishi mushrooms. Had it a stem (don't looks so). had it pores (fine/tiny or big) or spikes. Btw nice spot
