Description:

The Violet Dropwing, Trithemis annulata, is a species of dragonfly in family Libellulidae.

Habitat:

There were many of these Dropwings ,both males and females, around some rainforest type bushes by Lake Victoria in the Entebbe Botanical Gardens.
