Field Notes

Notes:

This plant and fruit is common Chinese new year decoration plant. Kumquat (柑橘) is different from quat (橘), it is oval not round. You can eat when it is fresh or add sugar to make it as citric fruit. Or, in our traditional way, we collect the fruits inside a big jar and added a lot of salt; seal it and keep in a cool & shadow place for years (even you can keep it life long). When you get soar throat, you can take 1 piece and eat it. (or half is enough because it is really salty). For more comfortable way can take 1 piece, smash it inside a glass of water and drink it.
