Field Notes

Description:

It's that time of year! We went to this park only a few days apart, and the first time, these weren't there, but the second time, they'd pitched their tents and gotten comfortable! Fun fact: If you get close to them, they pop their heads up and down aggressively in rhythm. I tried to film it, but of course, the moment I hit record, they stopped.

Habitat:

They look to have set up their tents on an older healthy oak.
