Description:

Large leaf-footed bug, mostly brown, with darker legs. First segment of the antennae is brown, and the second through fourth are red. Has enlarged femora and a spike on its tibia.

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

A species easily confused with other leaf-footed bugs in the eastern US. Spotted at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
