Description:

Large Stork with wingspans over 2m; its plumage is white with black flight feathers; its long legs and beak are orange/red. Conservation and reintroduction see this beautiful species now again breeding in european countries where it had been absent for many years.

Habitat:

Grassy area around an artificial lake in the "Tierpark Sababurg" wildlife santuary in Germany. To evade winter in the northern hemisphere, the White Stork is known to migrate as far south as South Africa.
