Field Notes

Description:

This shot was taken at Ilam, a small hilly town with pristine landscapes of sloped tea gardens, thick natural forests, in Nepal. The climate here is subtropical. At first I did not notice it, thanks to the camouflage. It was the first time I saw anything of this kind!

(Ilam is a much sought after tourist destination for travelers of all kinds. It is also famous all over the world for its special brand Ilam Tea).

Anita, please can you update the spotting with the correct ID?
Gorgeous photo Anita! This is actually an Indian moon moth. It looks very similar to Actias Luna but has slenderer wings than it's american cousin!
