Notes:

I found this cicada — dead — partially emerged from its final nymphal molt.<br><br> I think it's of the native genus Kikihia, but I can only guess the species.

Thanks Emily and Cindy. Cindy, I have no idea — maybe it was malformed in some way. Do they normally emerge at night? — maybe this one timed it wrong and dried out in the sun?
