This does look like the painted lady and many butterflies mimic each other to keep PN members on their toes. Bayucca has learned to notice small differences and was not tricked by this one.
I have to put the German wiki link, since it shows the wing colors and marking better than the English version.
Isn't that a painted lady butterfly? We released some outside my school when I was little.
