Field Notes

Description:

Very pretty lichen moss stuff that grows everywhere here in Boone, N.C. you normally see it growing on trees but it isn't unlikely to see it growing in between the cracks of concrete retaining walls on the sides of the hills here.

Habitat:

Rocks and trees. Pretty much a cold and wet environment. Located in Appalachian mountains. Altitude is around 3,333 ft. or so.

Notes:

Not that it matters but I have it as my background screen right now. It's so cool.
