Description:

Mr/Mrs Large Tarantula, 4 and a half inches!! came to my TV room chair to watch TV with me last night!!??
I let her out of the house with the fly swatter, it was reluctant to go, I really rather watch TV without it's company.... : o

Yikes! We saw a lot of Wolf Spiders that were large and hairy in the Osa Peninsula but never a Tarantula. I'm glad you were able to safely remove it from your house without injury to either one of you. :-)))
Beatiful spotting, Gilma! I also have the privilege of receiving interesting visits at my house from time to time. This looks like a big male Phormictopus, perhaps Phormictopus atrichomatus (I don't know... maybe not. Somewhat arboreal aspect in this. Better hear from a specialist). Anyway, here in Brazil we also have similar species. I love tarantulas!
