Field Notes

Description:

A large dark bird with long broad wings and a featherless red face. They often glide in circles with wings tilted up in a slight V shape. The feathers along the trailing edge and wingtips are paler, giving the wings a two-toned appearance.

Habitat:

One of two on neighborhood roof top.
