Nice find! This looks like a species of mantid from genus Tenodera. The Chinese Mantis (Tenodera sinensis) is a common find. This large mantis was introduced to North America intentionally as a natural "bug control" for gardens, but has now become quite invasive. http://bugguide.net/node/view/386
