Field Notes

Description:

Body oblong, strongly compressed, head compressed . Standard length around 122cm. In life coppery brown on narrow back with around 15 transverse band silvery bars meeting across dorsal ridge , flanks silvery , fins with dark blotches .

Notes:

Distributed throughout the big rivers and beels of Assam.
