Description:

Tufted ears give him away. Someone with a stronger camera than mine spotted him from the bird preserve. But I found the far away pictures I took were better than the up-closer

Habitat:

I am assuming that this is his day time perch and the nest behind him is likely an Osprey nest.

yes, I think they have taken over the Osprey nest?
I'm jealous - I hear these most evenings in our woods but have yet to discover the whereabouts of the nest or spot the owls!
Nice shot! It's not too early to be nesting for them...looks like the female is sitting on the nest...maybe on eggs!! How exciting!
