Description:

Head is mostly white and underparts dark, long legs, Seen mostly in water or around ponds fishing. The Blue Herons here in the Bird preserve in FL are beginning to build their nests for the new breeding season.

Habitat:

Bushy Islands are ideal for rookeries to form. The Herons are used to people standing around pointing cameras.
