Field Notes

Habitat:

Uses seasonal habitats including montane and subalpine forests and alpine areas during summer, and lower elevation montane forests, shrublands and grasslands during winter. This herd was in mountain big sagebrush at the top of a canyon.

Notes:

We counted over 100 animals in this herd. Observed on the north side of Taylor Canyon, above the Taylor River several miles northeast of Almont, CO.
