Field Notes

Notes:

This jumping spider was on my window when I woke up. He (are those palpi?) seemed in great health — really shiny and fat. He seemed a bit sluggish (this species are diurnal — so maybe just waking up?) and was very docile when being handled. He was really photogenic, and was quite interested in Dylan's camera.

Thanks Argybee. I just added another shot you might like. I like my display pic — you can see the eye on his flank, which I often overlook, because their front eyes are so, err, engaging. ;-)
Nice thing to wake up to. Good shots too. I prefer #2 because it shows those jumper eyes.
Thanks Karen. :-) We've just worked out the macro function on Dyl's camera. My initial shots didn't come out so well.
