Description:

Found in a dune street in the Kalahari.
About 25cm high.

Habitat:

Desert, soil might be salty due to location of nearby salt pans.

how about a very stunted and probably continuously grazed Boscia albitrunca (Shepherd's Tree)
no unfortunately this is the only picture I took
Very cool! I'm going to take a guess and say it's a Euphorbia, though it's such a large family,that doesn't narrow it down too much. I have a friend at work who might know this, but I won't be back at home/work for another 7 weeks or more. I will try to remember it if no one can ID it by then.
