Description:

Boehmeria macrophylla is commonly found in forests, thickets, along streams and road sides.

The fibre of the stem is of excellent quality, it is shiny, white and strong and is used for making sacks, bags, rough clothes, nets, rope etc. It is possibly useful for textiles.

Notes:

Oval shaped leaves, rough on the top, serrated at the edges, and has a very long flower sack. This plant resemble a nettle.
