Hello. Yes Welcome! I changed the category for you (insects are Arthropods, along with crabs, spiders, shrimp and so on). I also moved the name you had to the common name because while correct, Scientific name is is reserved for just that :-)

Welcome to Project Noah. My guess is Carolina mantis. Do you happen to have any other photos of this animal? Also, the date of the actual spotting needs to be changed and the category can be changed to "arthropod." :-)
