Field Notes

Description:

The female is slightly longer (15mm) and has beautiful green markings behind the head and on the forewings, and a yellow line along its flanks; the male is drab brown without any markings. Both have the spine on the nose, which give these guys their name.

Habitat:

Tropical rainforest in the Ecuadorian Amazon region.
