Description:

Plant green; thallus lobes and many times folded with mucus chamber in base of thallus; cells with large single chloroplasts; sporophytes absent. Black nostoc colonies in plant body.

Habitat:

Open seepage site above trail growing on packed mineral soil. Philonotis fontana growing among it.
