Field Notes

Description:

This large parch of fungus was growing from the burnt surface of a large eucalyptus. A lower story fire went through the area about 3 years ago. The patch was about 1 metre long. The fertile surface was clean, white, like stretched, angular pores. No 'edge' like for some of the resupinates or crust fungi... just fizzled away.

Habitat:

In a local national park.

Notes:

Yet to research this one... Schizoporaceae
