Field Notes

Description:

I was lucky to see at least 5 of these! The,most caterpillars I have seen so far!Every time I saw one I would return after 3 days to see if they had formed a cocoon. Never saw them again. The praying mantis and crab spiders are in abundance and seem to be holding their ground against the drought. With those around these caterpillars stand very little chance! :(

Could this be Corn Earworm Moth caterpillar?
Thnx Mark, These are a lovely green. Am learning to spot caterpillars!I am not sure if they would be very spectacular like Florida or Brazil etc.
