Field Notes

Description:

Or at least, I believe this is a Summer Cep; I'm just never sure in y mushroom IDs... Large mushroom, size of my hand (pic N° 6), found already broken from its growing place. No traces of color on wounds in flesh; pores are pale-greenish in color, and I had the impression that it emanated a slight pleasant anisy smell... very faint.

Habitat:

Seen in a small forested and protected zone around the small pond - he zone in question is at the outskirts of our town, in Geneva suburbs but on French side, in rural setting. The forest in question is broad-leaved, mainly oak and beech.
